Terms of Service

Effective date: June 13, 2026 · Last updated: June 13, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By joining the waitlist or using the Clip beta ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

Clip is a case logging platform for ophthalmic surgeons — cataract, vitreoretinal, glaucoma, cornea, oculoplasty and paediatric ophthalmology — that allows you to voice-log cases, capture slit-lamp photos and surgical videos, and search your case archive using AI.

3. Accounts & eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
  • Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • One person, one account. Accounts are non-transferable.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in violation of applicable law or your institutional policies
  • Upload content you do not have the right to share
  • Attempt unauthorised access to any part of the Service
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without written permission
  • Introduce malware or any malicious code

5. Clinical responsibility

Clip is a logging and organisational tool, not a clinical decision support system. Nothing in the Service constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.

You are solely responsible for:

  • The accuracy of the clinical data you enter
  • Ensuring your use of Clip complies with your professional obligations, institutional policies, and applicable laws
  • Obtaining any required patient consent for logging case information or sharing media
  • Determining whether Clip is appropriate for use in your clinical environment

6. Billing & subscriptions

Beta access

Clip is currently in private beta. Beta access is provided free of charge to waitlist members. Pricing described on the Pricing page reflects intended plans at public launch.

Pro subscription (post-launch)

Pro will be billed monthly ($9.99/month) or annually ($79.99/year), renewing automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time.

Token top-ups

Token top-up packs are one-time purchases that do not expire and are consumed after your monthly token allowance.

Refunds

See our Refund Policy for full details.

7. Intellectual property

The Clip name, logo, software, and all related materials are the intellectual property of the Clip team. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to use our trademarks or branding.

8. Your data

You retain ownership of all data you enter. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit your data solely to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export your case log at any time. Upon account deletion, we delete your data within 30 days.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without prior notice.

10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Clip team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Clip team is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
